air pump July 22, 2010 Robert Coupe (Cumberland, R. I.) I have only used the Slime COMPO6 tire inflater 2 times on some small applications and it seems to be a quality product. It is smaller in size, much easier to connect to the valve stem, and is more powerful than my old inflater. I am confident that it will handle my SUV and boat trailer tires.
The Slime COMPO6 comes in a nice compact storage bag which I wish was just a little bigger because it is a very tight fit. Overall, it was a little more expensive than some of the other inflaters, but because of the quality and ease of operation so far I am glad that I spent the extra money.
It has been a good and reliable product July 5, 2010 Michael B. Callahan I have owned the inflator for a couple of years and have used it on several occasions. It works as described and efficiently. I highly recommend it.
NOT Heavy Duty July 2, 2010 A. Ketler I bought this "Heavy Duty" inflator to refill truck tires after beach driving. This pump is not suited to that task. It is a great pump for topping off tires or maybe refilling one tire, but it cannot refill 4 tires in a reasonable amount of time. One key piece of information is not shown in the product specs. The pump can only be run for 10 minutes at a time, and must have a 15 minute cooling period in between. This is partly because the silver finned heat sink that looks metal in the pictures? It's plastic! Perhaps I expect too much for my money. I returned this item. I'll spend more money and get something that is truly "Heavy Duty".
does a great job blowing! June 28, 2010 K. Srilasak Bought this to pump air in our cars at home every now and then. Works great.
Great while it lasted May 22, 2010 Kris Hamilton Pump worked great for the first 2 months or so. Pumped up my trucks tires in a reasonable amount of time. Much faster than the smaller slime unit I keep in my car. Hopefully I just got a bad unit... but it died on me after about 2 months of weekly use.
The only real complaint I had when it did work was that it leaked air where the coiled tube connected. Not a lot, but it was an audible leak. That's air that should be going into a tire.
I will be trying a different unit as a replacement. Hopefully one that has an auto shutoff at a preset PSI (the smaller unit has that function).
The good news is my smaller Slime unit is still chugging away after 2 years of use.
